Ingredients

Chicken:

Cornflake Breading:

  • 2 1/2 cups crushed cornflake cereal - This is the best heathy, organic, & gluten free cornflake cereal
  • 1 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Egg Wash:

  • 1 large egg
  • splash of water

How To Make Them

  1. Remove the tendons from the chicken tenders with a fork and pat dry. Set aside.
  2. Add cornflakes to a resealable plastic bag, and crush them with a rolling pin. Alternately, you can add the cornflakes to a food processor and pulse.
  3. Line up 2 shallow bowls. In one of the bowls, add the egg and splash of water. Whisk together the egg mixture until smooth. In the second bowl, add the crushed cornflakes and all of the seasonings. Stir to combine.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F. Add the chicken tenders, one at a time, to the egg mixture, turning to coat all sides, and then in the cornflake crumbs.
  5. Spritz the chicken with avocado oil spray and air fry for 10-15 minutes, or until cooked through. Chicken tenders should be golden brown and have reached an internal temperature of 165°F. The timing can vary with different air fryers and how thick your chicken tenders are.
  6. While chicken is cooking, warm up your hot honey over the stove or in the microwave. Drizzle chicken tenders with the hot honey to taste. Serve and enjoy!

How To Make Hot Honey From Scratch

Ingredients

  • 12 cup honey (organic, unfiltered raw honey)
  • 1 tsp hot sauce
  • red pepper flakes (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Heat up the honey in a small saucepan over medium heat until it starts to bubble. Add in the hot sauce and red pepper flakes to taste. Allow to cool.
  2. Strain out the red pepper flakes. Store in a glass jar.
