These Healthy Date Turtle Candies are by far my favorite sweet of all time. They are better than any fudge or chocolate candy. No one will believe you when you tell them that these are healthy let me tell you! These are such a quick and easy no bake treat too! The hardest part is waiting for the chocolate to harden so you can dig in lol. The only equipment you need is a food processor, which makes for such an easy clean up. I bet you have these 5 ingredients at home already too! If you love date recipes, try my Healthy Date Caramel Dip.
These turtle candies can fit many different diets as well, as they are gluten free, vegetarian friendly, pescatarian, and have no added sugar.
Store your leftover turtles in am air tight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks if they even lasts you that long haha!
I post all my recipes on social media as well and you can stay up to date on what I am up to! Also, I love seeing people try my recipes! When make these, snap a picture, and share it to your socials. Tag @cookingkatielady and #cookingkatielady so I can admire your masterpiece and share with others!

Pulse the dates in a food processor until a ball forms.
Place in freezer for ten minutes to firm up (this makes it easier to work with since dates are so sticky!).
Separate the date "dough" into 12 rounds on a piece of wax paper. Place 3 pecan halves on each piece to make little “turtles”. See my Instagram video below for a visual if you need one!
Melt the chocolate chips with the coconut oil in the microwave. Drop the melted chocolate on top of each turtle evenly. Top with sea salt if desired. Place in fridge until chocolate is hardened and enjoy!
