Sugar Free Candied Walnuts

Ingredients
  • 1 1/3 cup walnuts (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup monk fruit (or granular sweetener of choice)
  • 1/2 tbsp cinnamon (ground)
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg (ground)
  • 1 1/2 tbsp egg whites
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions

    Preheat oven to 250°F. Line a medium sized baking sheet with parchment paper.

    In a large bowl, whisk together the egg whites, & vanilla extract until frothy.

    Next, add in the monk fruit, cinnamon, walnuts, and salt. Stir until the walnuts are fully coated.

    Spread the coated walnuts out on your prepared baking sheet into a single layer, making sure they are not overlapping each other.

    Bake for 45 minutes, flipping every 15 minutes so that they bake evenly. Enjoy!
