Making barbeque sauce from scratch avoids all of those crazy ingredients such as added sugar, gums, inflammatory oils, and fake flavorings/colors. In a large saucepan, heat up a drizzle of olive oil over medium/high heat.
Add the minced onion and garlic. Sauté for about 2 minutes.
Add the rest of the ingredients for your sauce. Let it bubble up and then reduce the heat to simmer.
Allow to simmer for 30 minutes, stirring half way through.
Serve with your favorite dish or mix into 2 lbs protein of choice (like shredded chicken).
How To Store Leftovers
You can store your leftovers the refrigerator for up to two weeks, if it even lasts you that long haha!

Ingredients
1tbsp olive oil
1/2 yellow onion (finely diced/mined)
2tsp garlic (minced)
2cup ketchup (unsweetened)
2tbsp apple cider vinegar (organic)
1/2cup water
3tbsp maple syrup (organic)
2tsp worcestershire sauce
1/8cup monk fruit (or sweetener of choice)
2tsp dried mustard
3/4tsp smoked paprika
1tsp paprika
1tsp chipotle seasoning
2tsp chili powder
salt (to taste)
pepper (to taste)
