Ingredients
    Sandwiches:
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 slices sturdy bread (I used sourdough)
  • 1/2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tbsp mayo (I use Primal Kitchen)
  • 1/4 lb Land O’ Frost Hot Honey Ham
  • 1/4 lb Gruyère cheese (freshly sliced)
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tbsp hot honey
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)
  • For Serving:
  • Raspberry jam (or jam of choice)
  • Powdered monk fruit (or powdered sugar, whatever you prefer!)
Instructions
  1. 1
In a shallow dish, whisk together the egg, milk, salt, and pepper.
  2. 2
Spread Dijon mustard on one slice of bread and mayo on the other.
  3. 3
Layer the hot honey ham and Gruyère cheese between the two slices of bread to build your sandwich.
  4. 4
Dip the entire sandwich into the egg mixture, making sure to coat both sides well.
  5. 5
Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat. Once melted, place the sandwich in the skillet.
  6. 6
Cook for about 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy.
  7. 7
After flipping the sandwich, drizzle hot honey over the top slice of bread.
  8. 8
Serve hot with a side of raspberry jam and dust with powdered monk fruit sweetener, if desired. Enjoy!
