Wonton Taco Cups

These wonton taco cups are such a fun variation to your taco Tuesday! They are extremely easy to make and made with clean ingredients. Using wontons is a texture game changer! Ingredients

  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 1 lbs. organic grass fed ground beef (I used 93%)
  • Taco seasoning of choice - I like the brand Kevin's or Siete. I used one packet.
  • 14 oz. can petite diced tomatoes, drained
  • 24 wonton wrappers - i used the Nasoya vegan wonton wrappers.
  • 3/4 cups shredded cheese of choice
  • Taco toppings of choice - Like lettuce, tomato, cilantro, avocado, onion, sour cream, etc.

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium high heat. Add the beef to the pan (I added a little onion too).
  3. Once the meat is browned, add in the taco seasoning & canned tomatoes. Continue to cook until meat is done.
  4. Spray a 12 cup muffin tin with olive oil spray. Place one wonton wrapper into the bottom of each muffin cup. Put a spoonful of meat into each cup and top with a sprinkle of cheese. Place a second wonton layer on top of the cheese, then add the remaining meat and cheese across all the muffin cups.

  5. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until edges are browned and cheese is melted. Add desired toppings then serve. Enjoy!

How To Store Leftovers

You can store your leftovers the refrigerator for up to 4 days. To reheat, just zap a serving in the microwave for a minute or so.

  • 24 wonton wrappers (I use Nasoya)
  • 14 oz diced tomatoes
  • 1 taco seasoning (one packet)
  • 1 tbsp ginger (minced, fresh)
  • 3/4 cup cheese (shredded. I used a fiesta blend)
