If you’re looking for a simple summer snack that tastes like candy while helping you stay hydrated, these Electrolyte Frozen Candy Grapes are a must-try. Made with just grapes, lime juice, and your favorite electrolyte packets, they come together in minutes and are perfect for keeping in the freezer all summer long.

Choosing a Clean Electrolyte Mix

For a cleaner option, I recommend looking for electrolyte mixes made without artificial dyes, artificial flavors, or artificial sweeteners. Some good options include Cure Hydration, GoodOnya, and Instant Hydration.

When shopping for electrolytes, I recommend avoiding artificial food dyes like Red 40, Yellow 5, and Blue 1, artificial sweeteners like sucralose and aspartame, and unnecessary fillers.

What You Will Need

  • 4 cups fresh green grapes, washed and dried
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 3 (0.25-ounce) packets electrolyte drink mix

How To Make Them

  1. In a large bowl, combine the grapes and lime juice.
  2. Toss until all of the grapes are evenly coated. If there is excess liquid in the bowl, pour it off.
  3. Sprinkle 2 electrolyte packets over the grapes and gently toss until evenly coated. Line a large baking sheet or tray with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  4. Spread the grapes into a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining electrolyte packet evenly over the grapes.
  6. Place the baking sheet in the freezer and freeze until the grapes are firm, about 2–3 hours.
  7. Enjoy immediately or transfer the grapes to an airtight container and store in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.

Recipe Tips

  • Make sure the grapes are completely dry before adding the lime juice.
  • Use your favorite electrolyte flavors to create different varieties.
  • Red grapes work well too if you prefer a sweeter grape.
  • Freeze in a single layer to prevent the grapes from sticking together.

Storage

Store leftover grapes in an airtight freezer-safe container for up to 2 weeks. Enjoy straight from the freezer.

Absolutely. Red grapes are naturally sweeter and work great in this recipe.

How long do frozen grapes last?
When stored properly in an airtight container, they will stay fresh in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.

Do these taste like candy?
Yes! The electrolyte powder creates a sweet coating that gives the grapes a candy-like flavor and texture when frozen.
