Ingredients

  • Ground Turkey – I used 2 pounds of the Butterball 93% lean ground turkey.
  • Fresh Chopped Spinach – Make sure you use fresh spinach, not frozen or your burgers will be very watery and fall apart. You will need 1 1/2 cups.
  • Worcestershire Sauce – 2 teaspoons, for flavor.
  • Feta Cheese – The flavor of the feta cheese is what really tops these burgers off! You will need 4 ounces of crumbled feta.
  • Mined Garlic – 1 teaspoon of minced garlic.
  • Olive Oil – 1/2 a tablespoon for flavor & to help keep the burgers together and moist.
  • Garlic Salt & Pepper – To taste. I did 1 teaspoon of each.

Equipment you will need:

Deep Sauté Pan – You can use a large skillet too, but I prefer a deep skillet because of all the juices that release from the meatballs.

How To Make

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Mold your turkey mixture into 30 evenly sized one-inch meatballs.
  3. Preheat a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. I used my HexClad Hybrid Sauté Pan.
  4. Cook the meatballs for about 12 minutes, turning them frequently, so that all sides of the meatballs are golden. You may need to do this in two batches, depending on how big your pan is.
  5. Serve with my homemade healthy tzatziki sauce and whatever sides you would like and enjoy!

Tips For Cooking

Place the turkey mixture in the fridge for 20 minutes so that they can firm up a little. This prevents them from breaking apart.

Take away the uncertainty of judging the doneness of your meatballs by using a thermometer. When the meatballs reach 165°F, you know that they are fully cooked to perfection. If you cook them any longer they won’t be as juicy.

Serve these Spinach & Feta Turkey Meatballs with my homemade tzatziki sauce. I also made my Greek Cucumber Salad and it went so well with this meal! A link to that recipe is also down below.
