My Healthy High Protein Bananas Foster is everything you love about the classic dessert, made with simple, wholesome ingredients. Sweet ripe bananas are caramelized in butter, maple syrup, cinnamon, and vanilla until perfectly soft and coated in a rich, buttery sauce. Instead of serving it over traditional ice cream, I love pairing it with my homemade high protein vanilla bean cottage cheese ice cream for a healthy dessert that’s packed with protein and naturally sweetened.
Whether you’re looking for a cozy breakfast topping or a healthier dessert, this recipe comes together in just a few minutes and tastes absolutely incredible.

Tips or Variations
- The riper the bananas, the sweeter and more flavorful the recipe will be.
- Avoid over-stirring the bananas to help them keep their shape.
- This is also delicious over Greek yogurt, oatmeal, pancakes, waffles, French toast, or cottage cheese.
- Add chopped pecans or walnuts for a little crunch.
- A pinch of flaky sea salt makes the caramel flavors pop even more.
Storage
The bananas foster is best enjoyed fresh while warm, but leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in a skillet or microwave before serving.
