Reasons to Love This Salsa
- Quick & Easy: I love when I can just throw everything in my food processor and not have to cut anything up! I think cutting up produce is one of the most time consuming things for me when it comes to cooking to be honest!
- Nutritious: This salsa is full of fresh veggies and no preservatives! The entire bowl of salsa is only 165 calories.
Ingredients
- Roma Tomatoes – 5 Roma tomatoes
- Diced Tomatoes – 1 10 ounce can diced tomatoes (I used fire roasted)
- Garlic – 1 teaspoon of garlic, minced
- Jalapenos – 2 Jalapenos, seeds and membrane removed.
- Habanero Peppers – 2 Habaneros, chopped (do one if you don’t like hot salsa)
- Cilantro – 1 big handful of cilantro, about 1/3 cup
- Cumin – 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- Salt – 1/4 tsp salt
- Lime Juice – Juice of 2 limes
How To Make It
1. Place all the ingredients into a large food processor, such as a KitchenAid. I use a 7 cup sized one.
2. Pulse the mixture until there are no large chunks remaining, about 15 seconds.
3. Serve and Enjoy!
**Recipe makes roughly 3 cups of salsa.
How To Store Leftovers
You can store your leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week since this salsa is made with all fresh ingredients with no preservatives!
My favorite storage containers are by the brand Razab. I have done some fun giveaways with them in the past and truly love their dishes so much. All of their containers are BPA free, oven safe, freezer safe, dishwasher save, and have steam release valves! You can find them on Amazon here if you want to check them out.
