Why You’ll Love This Recipe:
- Quick and Easy: With an air fryer, you get crispy, delicious wings in a fraction of the time it takes to bake them. No more waiting around for the oven to preheat or dealing with messy frying oil.
- Healthy Twist: By using the air fryer, you cut down on the amount of oil needed, making these wings a lighter option compared to traditional fried wings. Plus, the sauce is made with honey and sriracha, giving you a sweet and spicy kick without added sugars or unhealthy ingredients.
- Wholesome Ingredients: Our recipe focuses on simple, clean ingredients that are easy to find and better for you. No need for complicated or processed ingredients—just real, tasty food.
Ingredients
For the Wings:
- 2 lbs. organic chicken wings (Butcher Box is the best!)
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp baking powder
For the Sauce:
- 1/2 cup sriracha sauce (do 1/4 cup if you don’t want/like a lot of spice)
- 1/3 cup honey
- 2 tbsp coconut aminos
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 2 tbsp grass fed butter
How To Make Them
- Preheat your air fryer at 400°F for 5 minutes.
- In the meantime, pat the wings dry with a paper towel and place them in a large mixing bowl with the spices and baking powder. Coat well.
- Place wings in the air fryer (spay with olive/avocado oil) for 20 minutes at 385°F (flip half way through if your air fryer does not cook evenly on both sides).
- In the meantime, make your sauce. Whisk all the sauce ingredients together except for the butter in a small saucepan over medium/low heat. Simmer for 3-4 minutes. Add the butter and whisk it into the sauce until it melts. Turn heat off and allow sauce to thicken.
- Remove your wings from the air fryer. Toss them in the sauce in a large mixing bowl bowl. Top with green onions and sesame seeds. Immediately dig in!!
Tips for Perfect Wings
- Don’t Overcrowd: Make sure not to overcrowd the air fryer basket/tray. Cooking in batches if necessary will ensure each wing gets crispy.
- Adjust the Spice: Feel free to adjust the amount of sriracha depending on your tolerance for heat. You can always start with less and add more if needed.
