Benefits of Making These From Scratch

- Make it High in Protein – Add extra meat if you are struggling with reaching your protein goals! Traditional pizza pocket so not have enough and that meat is a mystery to me.
- Customizable – This should be a given, but you can add all the toppings and sauce that your heart desires.
- No Waste – This is a great way to avoid letting your leftover veggies and whatnot go to waste!
Ingredients
- Pita bread – I used the Joseph’s brand of flax seed pita bread.
- Your favorite sauce – I stick to the organic sauces without any added sugar & oils.
- Toppings of choice – cheese, chicken, pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, peppers, onions, the list goes on and on!
How To Make It
- Fill your pita bread on one side with your favorite pizza sauce and desired fillings. Fold the other half over.
- Spray or lightly brush with some olive oil.
- Air fry at 400°F for 12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Feel-Good. Taste-Good Food.
How To Store Leftovers
You can store your leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. I like to reheat mine in the oven or air fryer to remain crispy! To do so, it should only need about 10 minutes at 300 or so.
