Air Fryer Firecracker Brussels Sprouts

These Air Fryer Firecracker Brussels Sprouts have a sweet, tangy, nutty caramelized flavor and are perfectly crisp. Cooking brussels sprouts in the air fryer is the only way I will cook them. The outside has that perfect light crisp with a tender inside. I have made friends and family who don’t like brussels sprouts try these and have changed their minds! The clean up is so incredibly easy in the air fryer too so this side dish is a total winner. I hope you give this recipe a try and love it as much as I do! Be sure to try my Goat Cheese Stuffed Mini Bell Peppers as well for another great side dish!

  • 4 tsp. sesame seed oil
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 tsp. salt

  • 2 tbsp. maple syrup

  • 1/2 tbsp. fresh ginger, minced
  • 4 tsp. rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp. water

How To Make Them

  1. Preheat your air fryer at 400°F for five minutes while you prep your brussels. Season the brussels with the sesame seed oil, olive oil, and spices. I separated mine into two separate batches to not overcrowd my air fryer basket.
  2. Air fry at 400°F for 30 minutes, tossing half way through, or until your desired doneness. I like mine to be super crispy on the outside.
  3. In the meantime, make your sauce. Whisk together all ingredients in a large bowl. When your Brussels are done, toss them in the sauce and immediately dig in!

How To Store Leftovers

You can store your leftover brussels in an air tight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. When you are ready to enjoy your leftovers, you can pop them in the microwave for a minute or so. However, if you want them to be more crispy, you can reheat them in the oven or air fryer at a low heat for about 10 minutes if you have the time!

My favorite food storage containers are by the brand Razab. I do giveaways with them and truly love their products so much. All of their containers are BPA free, oven safe, freezer safe, dishwasher save, and have steam release valves! You can find them on Amazon here.
