Air Fryer Protein Cinnabon Delights

Have you ever had those Cinnabon Delights from Taco Bell? They are to die for! However, they are 160 calories for just 2 bites and full of fat & sugar! I have created an easy, low calorie version that you can make in your air fryer with no added sugar using a protein pancake mix & Greek yogurt that tastes exactly the same! These Air Fryer Protein Cinnabon Delights are only 47 calories each with less than 1 gram of fat and 6 grams of protein per bite!

Flourish pancake mixes are my favorite pancake mixes because they have NO added sugar and are PACKED with protein, fiber, & flax seeds! You can use the discount code KATIE10 for a special discount on their website at checkout! If you like this recipe, you will also love my Berry Cream Cheese Stuffed Protein French Toast!

What You Will Need

  • Plain Nonfat Greek yogurt – This is my go-to substitute for butter/oil when I am baking! It is also an easy way to add more protein. You will need 1/2 a cup.
  • Protein Pancake Mix – I used 2/3 cup of the buttermilk flavored protein mix by the brand Flourish Pancakes. They are high in protein & fiber and have no added sugar. Flourish Pancakes have so many different flavors to choose from too. They even have a Keto mix for those of you who are low carb. I HIGHLY recommend them. You can purchase the mixes here and use the code “KATIE10” for 10% off!
  • Cinnamon – 1/2 a teaspoon of plain old ground cinnamon!
  • Swerve – I use Swerve in almost all of my sweet recipes. If you are not familiar with Swerve, it is a zero-calorie, low-glycemic sweetener that measures cup-for-cup to sugar. It’s completely save and natural, with no artificial ingredients, preservatives or flavors. It is safe for diabetics as well! You can purchase Swerve here off of Amazon. I put 1 teaspoon of granular in my Cinnabon bites. For the cinnamon “Sugar” coating, I used 1 tbsp. brown swerve, 2 tbsp. granular swerve & 1 tsp cinnamon.
  • Cream Cheese – 4 teaspoons of low fat cream cheese.

How To Make

  1. In a medium bowl, mix the Greek yogurt, pancake mix, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and sugar substitute together until a dough is formed.
  2. Divide the dough into 8 circles. Place 1/4 teaspoon of cream cheese in the middle of each circle. Pinch the tops closed and roll to make your donut holes.
  3. Preheat your air fryer at 400°F for 5 minutes.
  4. In the meantime, make your cinnamon sugar mixture and roll the donut holes in it.
  5. Line your air fryer basket with foil. Then, line your donuts in the basket and spray with a little bit of nonstick spray.
  6. Air fry for 5-7 minutes (check after 5 minutes and if you want them more done then flip them over and air fry for another minute or two)
  7. Roll the warm cinnamon donut holes in the cinnamon sugar mixture again and enjoy!

Can I Reheat These?

Yes you can! You can store them in an air tight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. All you have to do is pop them in the microwave for 30 seconds or so! You could also reheat them in the oven or air fryer at 250°F for 5 minutes or so if you want the outside to stay more on the firm side.
