Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground chicken
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped ginger
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 4 green onions, sliced
  • 1/4 cup coconut aminos
  • Pepper to taste
  • 50 wonton wrappers – – I used Nasoya vegan wonton wraps
  • Dipping oil/sauces: I used the @hotjiangsauce chili oil and coconut aminos.

Instructions

  1. Combine all of the ingredients listed above in a large bowl. Place about one heaping teaspoon full of the chicken mixture in the middle of each wrapper.
  2. Dip your fingers in water and line the outsides of the wonton wrapper. Fold one corner across to the other so that you have a triangle shape. Gently press together with more water on your fingers if needed to seal the wonton. Finally, fold two of the corners in towards the middle. Watch my Instagram reel for a visual below.
  3. Heat up a large pot with water, and bring to a boil. Place a few of the wontons in at a time (do not overcrowd the pot). Allow to cook for 4-5 minutes, or until the wontons rise to the surface.
  4. This is optional, but I like to sear them in a hot skillet with some olive oil to give them some more color in a little crunch!
