I love chimichurri sauce as it is, but when you add that avocado, it makes your sauce SO much creamier. This homemade chimichurri sauce is so vibrant, fresh, and full of fresh ingredients. It only takes 5 minutes to make and requires 7 simple ingredients plus some seasonings. This is also way better than buying chimichurri from the store because you are avoiding all of those additives, gums, thickeners, preservatives, etc.! This recipe makes 1 cup of pesto. Ingredients
- Parsley – 1/4 cup of fresh parsley, chopped.
- Cilantro – 3/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped.
- Oregano – 2 tablespoon of fresh oregano, chopped.
- Garlic – 1 teaspoon of minced garlic.
- Olive Oil – 1/4 cup of extra virgin olive oil.
- Red Wine Vinegar – 2 tablespoons of red wine vinegar.
- Avocado – 1 large hass avocado.
- Red Pepper Flakes – To taste.
- Salt & Pepper – To taste.
How To Make It
- Add all ingredients to a large food processor.
- Combine all ingredients in a large food processor until fully incorporated. Can enjoy immediately or store in fridge for up to two weeks.
** This recipe makes 1 cup of chimichurri.
